Since 2006, Livwell has been helping people work more comfortably and healthily. We already saw a clear problem back then: many people suffer from back and neck pain due to prolonged sitting, while most office chairs on the market remain passive. They provide support, but do not encourage the body to stay active. The result? A slumped posture, reduced muscle activity, and increasing pain complaints.
That had to change.
That’s why Livwell sought a solution that truly works. We found it in the active sitting solutions of the SpinaliS chairs. These ergonomic office chairs stimulate the core muscles through active sitting. This keeps your muscles engaged and helps prevent slumping. The more you move, the lower the chance of back pain. An idea that came to life...
In 2006, Livwell was founded based on a clear observation: prolonged and passive sitting often leads to physical complaints, while existing seating solutions do not adequately address the need for movement during work. From that vision, Livwell was established with the goal of making ergonomic and active seating solutions accessible for both private and professional workplaces.

Due to the strong growth and increasing impact of the SpinaliS active office chairs, the understanding that healthy working goes beyond just sitting well also grew. From that evolution, Livwell chose to take a step further in ergonomic workplace solutions and to expand the offering with sit-stand desks.
